Sunday Psalms: Fictional Narratives & Poetry Inspired by the Psalms, Proverbs, & Other Biblical Works

Burgeoning Life

We dwell among the trees
Eternal summer
Childhood dreams
Innocence flees the burning city

What a different life we lead
Savoring slower glory
Catching mermaids in the streams
Beauty must never be a slave to

This is sacred air we breathe
Magic ground we trod
We bury deep the seeds of hope
And leave the growing to our God

He hath made everything beautiful in its time: also He hath set eternity in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ASV)

Question to Ponder: Where do you find beauty?

Song Recommendation: Out of the Woods by Nickel Creek
