Sunday Psalms: Fictional Narratives & Poetry Inspired by the Psalms, Proverbs, & Other Biblical Works
One, ten, infinity
Loose ends tangle
Minutes slip through fingers
Unspoken words linger
Pending perfect moments
Loom, swirl, taunt
Doubt taps at heart’s door
Hope fights for air
Dig a trench
In my fragile soul
Years morph decades
and still so many dangling threads
Tests my resolve
Reveals hidden paths
To fix things
When resting is my only escape
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, “It is finished”: and He bowed His head, and gave up His spirit. John 19:30 (ASV)
Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for Him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalm 37:7 (ASV)
Question to Ponder: What are you waiting for? Hoping for?
Song Recommendation: Wait on the Lord by Enter the Worship Circle
